Model B with a McCulloch

Here is a 39M style  McCulloch. one of the last style before they started making  Drone and aircraft aux power plant engines for the second World war. They made a ton of them 2 cyl about 30 hp. They used them as Aux power plants for Aircraft as a ground power unit  installed in the Airplane.
So that systems could be run without  the mains running and burning off valuable fuel.
And here is mine same as on the Model B four CYL above
Consider that the McColloch was designed for a 39 Merc  and Ford at 221 or 239 cu inches the 200 Model B should fly!

This is an early style which uses the original Ford intake. The later 39M had a McCulloch supplied intake. Much easier to get the belt tension right.
Notice the gen is driven off the back of the drive gears as the early 36 style heads had the water pumps on the heads and no room for a generator so they put on the back.
These early style were only for 36 and before as 37 had the center outlet and low waterpumps as part of the engine mount.
I like the tach drive off the gen bearing support end.
Might take some time to get the ratio  sorted out to indicate crank speed?

Always liked this car with a Scott Blower.
Tight fit what with the Harmons and Collins Mag out front!
