European Ford

While we were in Denmark we went to one of the biggest swap meets in Northern Europe. I walked for miles not much early Ford stuff but lots of odd ball items. I just about bought a NOS 49 Anglia complete grill just perfect but how would I get it home? make a nice wall hanger for $40 any how passed on it. The 37/29 Ford was neat it was like a 37 and a 38 I liked the V8 in the horn covers they would look nice on a 36.

This 37 was an original Ford  there seems to be more of the upper end Fords  than the two door style. Maybe only the wealthy could afford these cars. I know of a couple of B400 32's in Denmark. Not for sale of course.

This an old Opel  I like the roll back top.

I have always liked the four cyl inline Nimbus motorcycles. made in Denmark from the 30's till the early 1950's many were used by the postal system.

New House New Garage.

So.Here we are. Managed to jam three cars in the space for two.
Last photo is were the addition will go,see the hose that is the wall lines. It will be forward of the old garage by a bit over one meter. After all is said and done I will have 912 sq feet for the Imperial guys.
Not sure about the sq meters. My wife and I are heading off for some holiday and while we are in Denmark I will visit some Danish hot rod guys "Traditional-hotrods.DK." and also go to a swap meet in Holbeck. Small town north of Copenhagen but a good size swap. I don,nt need anything but if I find a pre 48 Lucas distributor I will get it as a wall hanger. Lucas as we all know is the very finest in electronics,Nudge Nudge, wink wink! We put in a heat pump so freed up a lot of room on the power breakers as the heat pump uses about 1/4 the amps than the resistence  heaters so will be OK for my Mig and compressor. Good news!
When we get back The garage should start in Earnest.
Have been introduced to a fine bunch of guys here in Victoria so it looks like I will fit in well. All for now

New project!  In 1928 Ford used a generator called a Power House.I have one and took the inside of it out. I have used a kabota PMG  or known as a permanent magnet generator. It has an output of 25 amps. enough for the hot Rod with a very minimal electric need. This is going on the early Ford flathead for the hot Rod. The intake is a 1937 ROOF intake.
Notice the gen mount it is a chopped up 36 intake and bolts to the front of the ROOF so will work well. The dual pulley pumps are nice as they have bearing not bushings like the car pumps.

Been a while! here is the latest. My son and I fixed up a 66 VW bug  about 19 years ago and he drove it to high school and then a couple of years to UBC. One day I got a call from his sister and him that it had quit  on an approach to a bridge near Vancouver.

. The crankshaft broke! So we talked about it and decided to store it while he continued at UBC.  So here we are 15 years later and I am still storing this thing, never seen the light of day for 15 years.
I am getting it going for my wife to drive this summer. VW heaters are so bad that it will be a summer car.
I did an engine and have it running just battling the wires and some stuck relays and away we go. Then back to the truck project.
