Here is the usual salt flats photo and don't forget to take a bike the pits are a long way from the parking viewing area.The VW has been racing at the flats for years. In 1999 when My son and I went to the flats this fellow was there,he spent a lot of time talking to Jack as Jack also had a Bug and he still talks about it. This year I met him again and said how my son had enjoyed talking and how he spent so much time talking to a kid His comment was "That's the way we are here"
I agreed and thanked him again,PS he did 176 MPH!!
